THE DANCE EDUCATION:
Dance education DPDA is an intensive part-time education with a duration of 10 months.
The training starts twice a year.
The first team starts on Friday 6 September 2024
Second team starts on Friday 10 January 2025.
On the course, we focus on the urban styles, as well as contemporary and technique, and we target all ambitious and dance-loving people who want to develop and improve their skills in dance. In terms of age, we have chosen to think outside the box and open up the possibility that you can apply from the age of 13 and up. We reserve the exclusivity that classes can be taught in two rooms at a time on a daily basis, as during the training in a few cases styles that will only be for the older dancers are taught.
On training, you will work with several skilled choreographers from abroad, whom we have handpicked. Danish choreographers will also be booked in at random times.
The selected teachers we have selected are some of the best in the industry right now. The teachers will work intensively with you and ensure you a strong base within their own unique and special style.
As a starting point, we work with the styles, hip-hop, house, locking, contemporary, jazz, commercial and technique. However, a few more styles will be selected on some weekends, so that you get a broad insight into the many dance styles, as well as get an exciting and versatile knowledge. There will also be some modules running where we teach you how to structure and prepare you to do your own teaching, so that you can be completely ready to get a job as soon as you finish your education here with us.

PURPOSE:
The aim of the training is to create strong, different and individual dancers. During the course, we will give you a wide range of tools within different styles, and ensure that you are then ready to step out into the professional working environment.
We want to help create versatile and innovative dancers who can leave their own mark on the professional and artistic workplaces of the future. We will shape dancers who promote an artistic and authentic expression that will be noticed.

A DAY AT THE DANCE EDUCATION:
A day on the course goes like this:
Friday has 2.5 hours of dancing. In addition, there are guidance classes, injury prevention classes, anatomy classes, etc
On Saturday and Sunday you have between 4.5 and 5.5 hours of dancing, and next to these there are planned different hours of physical training, dance history, foundation and theory.
The times are: Fridays from 17.00-21.00, Saturdays from 10.00-18.00, and Sundays from 09.30-17.30.
Every Sunday we do a short evaluation of the weekend together, as well as review the schedule for the next intensive weekend on your course.
